The Church of the Province of Myanmar (Anglican)

A member of the Anglican Communion, serving over 70,000 Anglicans across Myanmar since 1825.

Our Mission & Purpose

The Anglican Church was established in Myanmar by British army chaplains around 1825. The Diocese of Rangoon was inaugurated in 1877.

Formed in 1970, our Province initially had four dioceses, now expanded to nine. We focus on evangelism, clergy training, and education.

Today, we serve over 70,000 Anglicans in Myanmar and collaborate with other member churches in the Myanmar Council of Churches.
